I've not set up the rig yet (still waiting for my CPU) but preliminary runs showed the 8800gtx getting quite hot. 75~82 degrees. Though this was without any fans and running open.

I'm thinking of a GPU cooler (air only)

I only know of two coolers:
1. Thermalright HR03 plus - Ultimate CPU Cooling Solutions! USA

2. Thermaltake duo orb DuOrb CL-G0102

What other options are available. I can get the item shipped if necessary...
Also I had a bad experience with uncoated copper in mumbai's salty atmosphere...keep that in mind

Get the Thermalright HR03 plus. Many members seem to have got it and got very good results.

Most probably that will be the one, but I was wondering if there's anything better...

Dont think so, Arctic used to have the best GPU coolers, but their latest offerings are worse than the previous ones. Think Eazy has used the HR-03. you can ask him.

Another vote for the HR-03... Thermalright has truly become the leader in air cooling, and if things go well for them in the coming year, they could be the leader in the liquid cooling arena too.

That's the clincher. I'm going for this.

See what has happened to my HR-03 PLUS within 2 months of use.... :(

I get a drop in GPU temperature around 13C with the HR-03 PLUS heat sink attached.
