which is the best all-around antivirus!
wanna go with mcafee total security !:hap2:
will it be the best choice?:huh:
 
If you are looking for a good free AV that is on par with the paid ones, then Avira Antivir would be the right choice.

+1, using a licensed version, its great :hap2: but you should have at least 1 GB f RAM

Even i am big fan of kaspesky..But i tried norton internet security 2009(Glad i did it)..which is very light on resources and also had good spyware discovery rate than KIS 2009

but if dont know much better to keep it on auto mode
 
Norton have seriously hit one out of the park with the 2009 AV and internet security suite.

The gaming edition uses an absolutely amazing 6MB of RAM and is actually faster at boot up compared to the usual crowd favorite, KAV 2009.

At the moment, I'd recommend NAV 2009 + MBAM + a good firewall (Comodo or Online Armor) for the best possible protection.
 
oh really left norton i think in 2005 when they became really really crappy

stuck with Eset for now over 2 yrs and very happy
 
norton 2009 give false positive.. kIS is cheap u can get all u r machines secured in just 400 rs... if its not kis then go only for avira / nod
 
kaspersky 7.x version worked superbly......

cant say much about kAV 2009 ,just bought it few days ago....
its working smooth till now....
doesn not take much of memory and cpu....
