sygic mobile maps 8.2.2 (currently)

Real good (at least for delhi)

size - about 300 megs.
Is that the same download from the symbiantalk forum? I wasnt able to figure out how to install it. Have you installed? Could you please post the steps? Thanks :)

^^ +1 for that idea, I think Sygic with MapMyIndia maps is the next best thing other than a WinMobile 6.5 device with MapMyindia BE installed and or GPS Tuner working alongside on it.. also twonav :)

Yes it is good.

Im using the aura...it is 3D version but only for delhi and works well on my HD2 (ive put android in it).

MapmyIndia Aura
Is it available for Mumbai / Pune also ??

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

I am yet to try using it but i have sygic with MapmyIndia and Ndrive with India maps installed on my ZTE blade.

I am looking out for garmin maps type app which i was well accustomed to in my 5230. But i think there is no garmin for android :(

I am using sygic MapmyIndia on galaxy tab and really works well. Good road details and direction, i find it very useful in unknown areas. however its expensive, when i inquired about this, they quoted 2000 bucks per device.
I got this application preinstalled with tab.

Sygic for android is available separately. Using mapmyindia maps with it.
I know that, but the steps for installation weren't clear on the forum. So if you have installed it can you please list the steps out. Thanks :)

@^^^
i am assuming u must have copied the sygic folder to ur sd card and installed the app

u will have to copy the folders 'drive' 'res' and 'maps' and 'setup.apk' to the root of ur sdcard i.e. sdcard/Drive sdcard/maps sdcard/res

then instal the app
it will ask you to activate map
select activate manually
it will give you a code

PM me for additional details.

currently using mmi 5.0 with sygic 8.2.4

Hi, i am new to gps, i have a galaxy note and want to get an app for road navigation - i have installed the trial version of sygic - i believe there is a mapmyindia android app also available, i live in bangalore and would like a pan india map - what is the difference between the mapmyindia sygic version and the version available from sygic directly.

Do you need to be connected to the internet for using such a gps on the galaxy note?
