Security Software Best Antivirus/Internet Security Suite and where to buy in India

As the title suggests, what is the the best Anti-virus/Internet security suite to buy these days and what is the best place to buy. I have been using AVAST free edition till last year and AVG free this year. Not liking AVG much and want to shift to something better.

Would ideally prefer a place where I can purchase the key directly and get it immediately without the shipping hassles if that is a possibility
 
I would recommend getting kaspersky internet security, you can buy it on eBay and request the seller to send you the key immediately.
 
Yeah, I'd too suggest Kaspersky. I have been using KIS for 4 years now on and never faced any problem after that.

Though it's true that no AV's can protect you 100% until and unless you use your PC carefully with some common sense. :)
 
Ending up purchasing Kaspersky Internet Security 2015 off their web site. Its a bit pricier there, but went with it as they are the only place where I could digital delivery.
 
In my experience I've found these two Internet Security Suites to be the most Effective on my system

1) Kaspersky Internet Security --- The very best, period. Check Out AV Comparatives, AV Test, Matousec. Apart from being the best in detection and legendary 0-Day threat inclusion and having a formidable firewall, their Consistency for the last 6 years is nothing short of legendary.
Buy a 3 year license, install it and just forget it.

2)Avira Antivirus(Free/Pro) + Comodo Firewall combo --- Possibly Even better than Kaspersky IS, but I can't support this claim as no-one has tested this combo officially. Avira has better protection ratings than KIS at present, but it has not been consistent in the last 6 years. It has jumped to and fro between being the best and just great. Add to that there's no HIPS component in x64 systems.
Comodo Firewall is the best Firewall available. Its Defense+ more than makes up for the absence of HIPS on the AV side.
Totally Free, but much more granular controls over your PC, requires a little tech knowhow.
 
Avast. just keep the file and removable media sheild on, and switch the rest off. Keep the notifications to 1 second. It takes very low resources and works pretty well.

Besides you already know that common-sense is the best antivirus.

I got the 3month free BitDefender internet security license last month. After installing ButDefender my laptop bootup time increased a lot. Just too much in my opinion. Normal performance was impacted a bit. But not to the extent the bootup was affected.

Switched back to Avast free edition. Laptop is much happier now.

I used to love Avira(4+ yrs) but 1yr ago switched to Avast since I was giving too many false positives(ahem stuff)
 
Kaspersky probably offers the best deal if your looking at sticking to it for a few years. The renewals are discounted. Makes a hell of a lot more sense then going with Symantec which offers no price benefit even if a customer is using the product for years.
