ok ppl...
lets here it out..

which is according to you the best burning software??

1.nero burning rom
2.roxio easy media creator
3.ashampoo cd/dvd writing software
 
For me, I don't really have a preferrence, as long as the burn is successful. I have used the all the 3 software at some point but can't really pick a favourite .

From my experience, the drive and the type of media are the two things that really matter.
 
Nero latest version aren't as good as the good old 6.x series.. Among the three of 'em I would recommend the Roxio Easy Media Creator.. While Ashampoo too is a great alternative :)
 
I started using ImgBurn, now dont wanna waste 100s of MB space for Nero and its unwanted programs. I burn 2-3DVDs/CDs per yr LOL.

Why do you say that ... I feel Nero has only gotten better with every version.

i to use ashampoo...i think its the best no-nonsense software out there for burning purposes
 
Ashampoo for burning needs.
Daemon Tools for Virtual CD needs.

Ditched Nero8 coz it takes 10 mins (literally believe me) to start. Peeps and frenz all around are happy with Ashampoo and so is me :ohyeah:

For XP I use Nero 6.6 and ImgBurn. For Vista Nero 8 lite, which is stripped of all the bloat.
 
ImgBurn is awesome. Very lightweight. Ashampoo is a great alternative to nero. Its got very similar looks and interface :-)

edit: Nero Ultra 6.6 is also nice. Very stable product :D
