Hi guys,

thought I would make a new thread..would get more replies..

I bought a SansaClip 2gb from Croma for 2.5k..now want to buy a pair of nice earphones for 8-9000...preferably in Mumbai..

Any reccomendations ?

Thanks

Sorry I can't help with your pertinent query as such but just curious - you want to use a pair of earphones that cost more than 3 times the mp3 player itself? :)

imho a sansa clip will not be able to do justice to a headphone which costs 8-9k, even if it has been reviewed to have best in class sound quality.

Wow, 8-9k for the earphones and only 2.5k for the player?!

Probably consider something from Bose, Harmon, Sennheiser ?

Mostly headphones at that price, earphones being cheaper...

Thx for the replies guys :)

I had a initial budget of 11k..but I got the player in 2.5K..I would like to get the best earphones which the player would be able to support as I would be buying just this time and dont intend to buy again and again...Also need good bass..I would be mostly listening to hard trance songs..

YouTube - Dj Scot Project - O (Overdrive)

YouTube - Bison - I Got Tonight (DJ Scot Project Remix)

for example..

The default earphones seem to have no bass..

Thinking of getting something like this from KMD..only IF you all advice:

Newegg.com - Ultimate Ears Super Fi 5 EB 1/8" (3.5mm) Gold plated Connector Canal Earphone (Black)

hey Superfi EB are too big for our ears... and read some where that the sound comes out of the phones....(the one sitting beside you can tell what are you listening)

No offense to trance, but any dhin-chak (overemphasized lows & highs) IEM like EP-630 is more than good for the genre you intend to listen to

Sansa clip sound quality > Ipod and other mp3 players going by the reviews on most forums / sites. I think you should just get a decent set of earphones. If you are going to use it in the gym and outdoors, there is a high chance that they shall fail (not that I am wishing it :P) ... So better save the dough for that ....

Go for a ~3-4 k earphones ... at max

Thats what I would do at least

for sansa clip, a 2k earphones is more than enough. Get sony in-ear headphones (ex-monitor style). or you can try sennheiser CX-300.

To be frank... you will never know the difference, unless you use them...
I have used about 5 types
1.Ep 630
2.v moda bass freq
3.Xbi
4.FS1
5.Atrio M5.

The bass will increase in the order i mentioned above. The punch and detail will the main difference.
M5 bass is like a Z5500 sub in your ear..(I am using it with D2)

since you have a decent budget for earphones, you better head to head-fi.org and find the answer on forums there

since you want bass, best bets would be atrio m5 rev2, klipsch x10, head direct re0 with fiio, denon 550

extend budget a bit and youll get sleekaudio sa6

im myself going to buy either the m5 or re0

^^ Spot on ! People don't realize how much difference a good earphone can make since they never try them but still tell people never to spend a lot on earphones.

@karan2670 - Get the Atrio M5 from KMD if you love bass. They will really rock ! And good choice on the mp3 player.

You can find them here - Amazon.com: Future Sonics 010-045 Atrio Series M5 Earbuds (Onyx Black): Electronics

Though their price is known to fluctuate quite a bit so keep a look out for better deals.

atrio's are also known to be quite a lot cheaper if bought in stores instead of online so bet someone from the US to find one for you...and me
another choice is nuforce 7m for around 70$ but its out of stock everywhere
