Well i told you its for free in borivali.
Shop near vodafone help.
Have some new offer too with free sms
Legit its 50p/mb i think.
98 rs for 2.5gb and( additional data worth 98 rs.)
The bracket part is what i am unaware of.
EDIT:
No operator is an exception.
Almost all operators have similar bugs.
So far i've come across tata docomo, Airtel, videocon, virgin.

Data charges will be the same across the state. You can take it from whereever you want.
Reliance is not the same as mtnl.
My friend bought a card in nashik was able to use it in mumbai too.
Reliance has pan india license unlike bsnl which is not available in mumbai.

^^Okies in that case will get it over the weekend and in the mean time also inquire at the nearby reliance world about the SIM.

For borivali i guess you are mentioning the Chadavarkar road corner shop of reliance right ?

They've shifted next to raichura computers. Check there.
The older store is now limited to reliance web world.

lol on gprs you download tat much :P
on 1 mbps i am unable to download that much
i dont know whats so funny here ... 10 gb in 24 hrs is possible with 1mbps - so if you are *unable* to download check your settings

Better you look for tata docomo its 6gbps for 95 rs per month .

I get blazing speed .It used to have a problem of not connecting to internet but now the service is great. Its way better than Reliance.

I have reliance free internet but i still use tata docomo because of its speed.

May be first i will get the reliance one and try out and if not satisfied with go with docomo.

Also if i go with docomo i will be going with the 2GB plan as i am sure i wont even be using 1/4th of that.

Can any body tell me how is docomo GPRS speeds / connectivity in Aundh/Hinjewadi area in Pune ?

Well my sis uses docomo and connectivity is issue with it
Network coverage especially. Else it is good too with bugs in system prevalent too. :P
If planning only for downloads and browsing then reliance is good.
The speed is subjective. The reliance tower is located from my window at a relatively stone throws distance.
Docomo internet connection does not get connected during afternoons.

I guess reliance is first to be tried then especially because of *ahem* techniques which ensures minimum investment :P

guys any idea about gprs on bsnl prepaid sims? o.0
For unlimited use it is 274 rupees. Speeds are better that is what i had found but primary reason for that was BSNL tower was just outside the lane in which my house is. Hence better speeds.

Will I be able to use Reliance gsm connection with my laptop? I plan to connect to the pc using my nokia 6303 classic which has edge support - does the Reliance come with edge support? What are the speeds I should expect in the event that I use the internet for 3-4 hours a day on my laptop using the Reliance connection? I may use it for occasional downloading of anti-virus software updates and emails with attachments.

Alternatively if I chose to buy myself a good usb modem like the ones below-

http://cgi.ebay.in/Micromax-310g-3G...8?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item3f02ce7154

http://cgi.ebay.in/MTS-MBlaze-3-1Mb...0?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item3a5e5bee18

http://cgi.ebay.in/Airtel-EDGE-3G-U...7?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item5adbc6377d

how much of an improvement in terms of speed over the nokia 6303c should I get?

I wont trust reliance for anti virus updates (in application)if downloading patches then sure.
You see reliance wap is known to disconnect auto when connection data download reaches 9mb. Better would be docomo for you.

ok.

How much of an improvement in terms of speed should I get if i were to use one of the above mentioned usb data modems over the nokia 6303c? What are the speeds I should get with regular surfing or downloading on the laptop?

I am not very sure about Docomo's connectivity or signal strength in my area. How about Idea? Can I use Idea to connect to the pc?

I plan to use this as a standby internet connection.

well edge standard suggest mes that it is 236.8kbps modem, nokia with its class 32Edge modem theoretically supports 293kbps. though practically you are limited to what the operator provides you.

Idea speed is supposedly good because of stricter FUP rules(i.e no body uses it so gateway congestion is very less). Docomo connectivity varies from location. check some of our friends having it.
