Not to defend, but phenoms perform overall better than athlons. However for multi-threaded apps, more cores are obviously better.
 
Hey, I am yet to get the final bill. But I paid 3.6k for Phenom II x2 550.

HD5670 or HD5750?

HD5670 - 4.2k - Works well with stock intex 450W PSU
HD5750 - 6.2k - Have to buy a good PSU(+2.5k)
