Pioneer DVR-115DBK or LG GSA-H55LK or LG GSA-H55NK or LITE-ON LH-20A1P or LITE-ON LH-20A1H

Need: Excellent Burn Quality with Taiyo Yuden 8X Discs, lots of reading of media on various disc types & Disc Quality Scanning with CD-Speed

Info: Have a LG GSA-H10N as a Secondary Reader

i hav a LITE-ON LH-20A1H .....problematic at times would'nt really recommend it, so scratch it off ur list :P

Wasn't there a GO for the benq1650 recently here, that would be the best you get, if you still can.

LOL, that's weird Saumik... I have the LH-20A1P and it's as good as my BenQ DW1650. I had trouble with LG's GSA series however, not reading some of my older discs.

^dude i wrote a dvd with like 5 divx movies...put it back in to chek it out and guess what it DINT READ IT....but it worked on my TV/dvd player...sumtimes it works fine sumtimes its jus wierd...its been better after i updated the firmware...its loud at times when it starts burning then goes silent as if its not writing at all...blah i dono.....it gave more probs with moser baer and sony dvds than cheap ass "national" n "dollar" dvds LOL...neways iv got a cheap HP spindle now lets see hw these burn

I'd recommend an LG, local purchase. But if you want better reading capabilities, go for the L-O.. all the drives will give you identical (good) burns on TY anyway.

how are Benq DW1650 & Pioneer 112D drives for reading & writing?

^Apologies for the late reply.
Both are excellent writers. The Benq is a fairly picky reader, Pios are better in that respect.

Lucky :(
My Pio 111 reads scratched disks much better than the Benq. Of course, nothing to beat the good old Lite-On 832S!

^^But I guess Pioneer is better in terms of performance compared to the LG..

BTW Congo on the purchase Udit..
