Hey,
For a long time I have been searching for a good ISP in Thane...
I will be renewing my Speednet 2mbps unlimited Plan which costs Rs.1250 per month, and gets around 230 KBPS upload and download...

I am happy with this service, but they are intentionally not letting me use my WiFi router, hence I am thinking of changing it...

I have heard Fivenet is really good, but for the past 1.5 years, but they always say it will be available in your area in next 6 months, but it never does...

So which ISP can you suggest in Thane???
Local DC++ LAN would be good, but not necessary...

Speed min 2mbps ie. 230KBPS, unlimited

And max cost Rs.2000 per month...
Would preffer Rs.1500 per month...

There are the usual suspects like Hathway, Reliance WiMax. But I doubt if you could get a better deal than your current plan. I read your post about not being allowed to use Wi-fi on your connection. I dont understand how you can be prevented by your ISP. Can you not sort it out with them?

BTW, I have never heard of this ISP in Thane. Do they have a web presence? Didnt find anything on Google.

check if fivenet provides service in your area, usually they have all that area disputes within the ISP providers, even i have applied, but they are still not in my area due to same reason, which they say (past 6 months) are going to resolve it soon.

hathway is going down anyways, they change the FUP without any prior notice, reduce the speed to 1/4 without any intimation, wish i could fire a heat syncing missile at them :@ :@ :@
