Best ISP in Dadar, Mumbai ?

Hello all,

Need suggestions for a good ISP in Dadar, Shivaji Park area which can provided unlimited plans.. I dont need hathway as it suxor bigtime .. already got it and frustrated with it :P
I 've already called a rep from sify to discuss the tariffs et all.. but not sure if its worth the move.. shed some light plzz! :)
oh and btw.. sify is based on pppoe ? .. if its true then is it better than a normal cable broadband ? how does it work ?
 
I use the Infinity 512 from Tata Indicom. The phone support is pretty prompt (I also talk to the are engineer myself) and the connection has a pretty high uptime. The only irritation is the 11-hour auto logout, but I've solved that using a macro recorder and scheduler.

What pincode do you live in? I work at Shivaji Park, but they say no tata Indicom in this area.

We are using Exatt net 512kbps unlimited. Pretty decent service and not too much downtime.
 
i just called exatt net .. one of the reps will come over or call me :happy:
1850 is kinda expensive when compared to hathway 512 kbps unl. (Rs. 1600).. but as long as it gives me good uptimes and good service i dont mind :)
btw sangram you stay pretty near to me.. 16 is mahim right ? .. i stay near barista, shivaji park :)

Exatt at shivaji park is provided through net9. My office is close by (near the tennis courts at the gymkhana). Tata was not available at that pincode the last time we checked.
 
@BacktoExistence Tata's definitely worth it !

I used to stay at dadar - portuguese church.. now sion.

@sangram can u tell me the macro / scheduler trick ?
 
I've heard too many horror stories about Hathway, and a similar number about TI, the thing that swung me was the upload speed cap on Hathway. I like to keep my ratios above 1.5 for all my downloads.

I stay behind the J&J office on Tulsi pipe, so yeah, about 5 mins from Shivaji Park.

The macro trick is quite simple actually. You need a screen Macro Recorder (Demo version won't do, and there are no good free ones). Record the login procedure using the recorder, then put the saved macro into a scheduler. I use a tool called RIcolmer, that calls the macro every 10 hours. You'll have to manually edit the macro as the TI dialer sometimes takes ages to load, so I increase the delays manually. Try it, you'll see what I mean. About 50 seconds between every page load should be fine (there are 3 page loads in the process).
 
where is SP? .. i stay near prabhat poultry.. we got hathway in the whole of shivaji park, as well as sify. I am inquiring about new ones, you interested in a change of ISP ?
 
5 minutes from Barista.But I'm not interested in changing my ISP, my dad won't bother with it.I just wished they had better service.
