Best Italian Restaurants in New Delhi

Hi guys

I want to know which are the best italian restaurants in New Delhi where the bill for 3-4 persons doesn't exceed 2-3 grands for lunch.

For 3 persons I would expect:
5-6 soft drinks like fresh lime or coke, either would do
3-5 main dishes
2-3 starters
No sweet dish no soup

The budget should be like 2-3 grands or so for 3 persons.

NCR Region would do.

Occasion: My birthday

Good ones that I know of:
Big Chill (Tried)
Little Italy (Tried)
Imperial/Hyatt (Too expensive)
Italia (Seriously considering)
Diva

Won't go in for the ones that I have already tried.

Big Chill (Kailash Colony/Khan Market) or Flavors (Moolchand Flyover).

Warning: The desserts at Big Chill are so good they'll make you stutter like a 1900XTX.

Damn I miss those sumptuous pastas at Big Chill and lets not even start on those desserts..Mississippi Mudpie..Blueberry Cheesecake...:drool2:
If you not too keen on Big Chill, try Flavours...a very good option indeed with great offerings and a nice ambience (in every way ) to boot!

Big Chill really upped (more than doubled AFAIK) its prices last year though. Can't really go there every other day now.

There are a couple of decent ones in Gurgaon - Azzurro and 56. If you don't want to go that far there's Italic in Vasant Vihar.

Manre have just launched a new lunch menu, for 700 or so. Been there, damn expensive, but great food.

Avoid Little Italy, if its the same as here in Mumbai. Mediocre food at high prices

i wouldnt quite agree. china kitchen in hyatt serves some of the best chinese in the city while taj mahal has wasabi which has great japanese food.

in imperial, ive only been to 1911, which was ages back. it was really good. ive heard a lot of good things about spice route, havent been there though.

You guys are forgetting the budget. Any five start would be at least 4-5k and the budget is more like 2-2.5k.

italia is a very new place. ive heard mixed reviews so far. havent been yet.
