Laptops best laptop for Rs.50,000.

hello friends,

wanna a buy a laptop for my dad,

*Budget? (max Rs 50,000.not more than 50K)

*primary usage for the notebook be? (web surfing/office apps/hi end Gaming)

*size and weight considerations(an ultraportable 12" or something in between would be preferred)



*Any brand I prefer, detest-none,(want your advise, which brand should i strictly avoid?)
*Any other considerations-a decent Battery life would be preferred.

i havent shortlisted any,

want your advice,

n also pls giv me ur suggestions abt a office all in 1.

(printer,scanner,copier,fax,telephone.)

if thats ur primary usage then y do u want an expensive laptop for 50k

u can get a little cheap one around 40k

consider acer 4736 or the acer 5738

for ur printing needs consider canon- mx308 AIO printer for all ur office needs
 
i would also be gaming on that laptop.

so it should be compatible with most of the recent n upcoming games,

so i have set my budget 2 max.50K.

any other options...??

n for my office needs,

i think the canon mx308..which u have suggested 2 me, lacks a proper handset receiver,

i need a all in 1 device(colour laser printer,scanner,copier,fax,n telephone) which should have a full fledged telephone also(handset receiver.)

hav shortlisted the followin devices,

pls hav a luk,

HP - Officejet 4355

Lexmark - X4270

HP - Officejet J3608

Brother - MFC-3360C

which of the above device is the best,

any other suggestions would also be welcomed,

so u want gaming , then how about the dell studio 14 or 15. i think that shud do the job

and i have no idea abt the colored laser printer

ur didnt write ur complete requirements in the first post itself :P
 
I do not understand why some members are referring laptops with intel

integrated 4500mhd as gaming laptops..

I do not know about build quality but there are very few laptops in india that have real gaming graphics..

These include the xps 17inch with dual 8800gtx

Also the current zenith with the 9600gs..

The laptops with hd 4570 are very basic gaming laptops at best..

The studio laptops from dell and hp mainstream ones have the radeon hd 4570..256 or 512 mb..

I am just mentioning this because would be buyers might be dissapointed by the so called gaming laptops...

p.s I am also not commenting on the priceand whether it is worth it simply whether a laptop with hd4570 or integrated gpus can be called gaming laptops..
 
i have HP - Officejet 4355

working fine so far (an year.. maybe longer)

cartridges are a little small, but i learnt how to refill the black one myself, all it needs is a syringe and a bottle of ink (which any comp. guy will sell to you)

can i get the acer AS6930 in india...??

the scanner on this is sheetfed... so you cant take copies of wierd size items, or credit cards and such .... i does have a full phone though as you want
 
+1 to Dell studio 15 but do change ur OS to ultimate one coz i expereience problems with the home premiem installed on it. Don't whether it has bugs or what. Apart from that every thing is best in its class at that price tag.
