My monte was stolen last saturday :S Now its time to buy a new CHEAPEST mobile with minimum below requirement.

Style= preferably fold or slider type...but not a constraint for any other...
1. GPRS-web browsing for checking mail & visiting sites once in a day.
2. micro sd slot
3. Awesome music quality (am audiophile)
4. FM radio
5. general photo/video (not advance or hi-fi type)
6. speaker phone
7. min.1000 phone book & bluetooth
8. Budget:-3 to 5 k. (flexible, but remember my monte was stolen!)
9. brand:- even local will do but affectionate by sony anyday
10. medium/big screen

Every part of the audio quality of the Nokia 5130 XpressMusic is excellent, easily rivaling dedicated music players. As you can see from the table its scores are hardly too different from Apple's iPod Touch 2nd generation and we all know how good that means.

The frequency response of the Nokia 5130 is simply great, remaining within 0.16 of the perfect line throughout the range. any model from samsung or sony to compare with x2 & c3?

any model from micromax, spice or videocon at descent lower price? This give feels better on lost of my 2months new Samsung Monte.

Thanks ggt but want to grab new one.

Confused between samsung : c3212 dual, Nokia X2 & C3, Micromax Q5 or Q7 and SE spiro or cedar. I want non touch phone only hence champ is out of race.

SE Spiro is an original sagem phone mentioned somewhere by darkangel. so overall UI is kind of laggy.

I mentioned cedar since it is a good 3G device too. (7.2mbps d/l, 2bps U/l).

Under 5k Champ is best option IMO but since you don't want touch screen get Nokia 2690 or 2700 it would be VFM

If you get 5130 then it is also a good deal

I would suggest the Motorola EX--1115/128 over the Spice/Micromax phones--its a motorola--which means good build quality and more importantly its properly LOUD--also it has good sound quality.

Nokia 2700 / Nokia x2 / Nokia c3
Samsung Metro 3g(but on company web, there is big NO mentioned in 3g point...), / Samsung c3212 dual guru
Motorola ex115
SE cedar
Micromax q5fb

I love music in details, need browsing daily by regularly visiting techenclave, teambhp, gmail, u tube, my son snatched my cell to play game once in a day and sometimes shooting photos and videos when outdooring. We, family, r completely satisfied with my 3 yr old SE W810i doing nice job buddy.

Now, i need your full & final word among options given above or any fresh one if emerging now in your mind!

one question do you intend to use your phone for purposes relating to 3g ?

3G in the sense mobile broadband, video calling etc.

else you can get a better phone sans 3g (the older gen phones which retail at much cheaper rates since the advent of the new phones)

thanks but I read SE naite @ 8k & T700 @ 12k price on sony india web. This is out of my >5k budget then.

Nokia 5233 & 5230 cant take as i need non touch phone only.

:lol: Why do u check company websites?
I would suggest the SE Cedar instead of Naite. It lacks front facing cam but has 7,2Mbps HSDPA and comes with 3.5mm jack and microUSB just for ~5.55k :D
