Best OCR

I want to convert few of my pdf files to text. SO i was looking for a good ocr, evrybody says Abbyy fine reader is the best, is it true?, is there any other software that'll do a better job. I dont mind installing linux for this. But i dont have mac.

Abby fine reader is the best..I've used it to scan photographs of large pages which a scanner wouldnt and it did them just fine even though there was an angle to the pics, though the cam was 5mpx..

Its the best out there..use it and you wont need any thing else..

IF you merely want to convert text PDFs - you can use Free download ABC Amber PDF Convertor, convert PDF documents to HTML, CHM, RTF, HLP, DOC, TXT .

Actually i tried the OCR in one note but it was horrible. So abbyy it is. Thanks
