Try Investintech's Able2Extract. We have that in our office and it works good.
most pdfs which have text content, can be just selected and copied with the text tool given in the pdf reader.... you can even select save as text option to export the whole thing to .txt file and then copy it...

The best is Adobe Acrobat X Pro itself. Can save directly into MS Word, MS Excel.
You can also use a good OCR software like ABBY to scan the file and output the text.

DOwnload any Free OCR and it will do the job. If you can spend money, then go for Abbyy OCR as it is the best. Even MS Office has feature to convert pdf to word. Check it out...
