Best place for T-shirts in Chennai

Chennai guys, please pitch in

I am looking for collared T-shirts with some nice colors and good looking designs and not some 'in your face' ones.

I went to Pothy's, Chennai Silks and other stupid stores in TNagar and everyone has only those cheap 200-300 wala Tshirts having the worst designs..:@

Finally checked out Hi-Style Annanagar, which is kind of nice, but costly and too plain, though i picked up a couple there.

Any specific stores in Chennai, which deals with big collections of well designed Tees..
 
Head to the Max outlets. There are 3 of them in Chennai - one at Anna nagar and another at Express Avenue mall. Has a good collection of tees. Got few of them. Retails for around 400 INR and above. Quality is very good.

Bessie = Besant Nagar, yes.

Waves is a couple of buildings next to Sarvana Bhavan. Off of the big avenue at Blue Star.
PS - Stores I'm talking about here sell cheap stuff. 200-300 max for a tee shirt. They products are mostly seconds/export rejects. A little hunting does however yield a good haul.
PPS - Atleast this was the scene 2-2.5 years ago :P
 
@ stalker : just fyi...that waves is now moved to a big building near the Shanthi Colony signal :)
Besant nagar is too far from my area (AN). Stores like you mention are available at Shanthi colony road, one is Roovy and the other is Coolwear. But the collections arent good these days..
 
@Spectre: I am in Chennai, would love to tag a long if you don't mind. Need to pick-up a couple of books as well.
 
Sure mate! I dont mind at all :)
But I am available only during weekends.

What you basically want are polos:

La Coste Starts around 2k

Tommy Hilfiger (in India) starts around 2-3k

Tommy.com Sale + Additional 50% on sale items + $35 total shipping + customs. If you order 5 polos, each should end up being around 2k each or so.

RalphLauren.com on a big sale, buy through shopyourworld.com, polos around $50-100 each plus shipping + commission of SYW etc

Basically you can get good stuff for 2-3k each and if you want designer stuff, be ready to shell out 5-7k+ each(designer stuff this price only in USA), India's designer stuff will be 10k-15k+
 
Please delete this thread. I am not interested in buying T-shirts anymore :no: I will survive with Tantex baniyans
