CPU/Mobo Best processor for number crunching

Can Anybody recommend me a processor within 9k which is very good for number crunching.I am not going to play games so gaming is not very important for me.Whats the minimum cache required for hardcore number crunching?

This guy has a dealer who seems to be offering an OEM version of the Q9450 at 8.5k. Seems like a good deal to me.

No big deal on the warranty part. Get a heatsink which retails with this processor and RMA it should something happen!

Q6600 is nowhere under 10k now and hardly available

Q9550 is 12k , get it if budget can be extended .

its EOL now . maybe old stock is there even if its there for 10-11k , Q9550 much better at 12k .

No mate,new stock is available for 9~9.5k.U are searching in the wrong place

Q6600 is good one but it's not available anymore.
And it is 65 nm processor compared to the 45 nm ones which are recently available in the market.Some shops do sell old stock but they charge extravagant prices for it.
