If you're looking at a Maruti, then a True Value outlet would obviously be your best bet.

Oh ok...
Can anybody here share their experience with TrueValue???
And is Power steering a must on an alto??? that's the main difference between the LX & LXI ?

Do share your opinions...

TIA !

not much, after driving my indica with PS, the alto without PS still feels lighter :P

PS: if FE isnt a big issue, look for the Vx/Vxi - its got a bigger engine and is a lot more fun to drive

similarly, look for a zen -they're fun to drive too :)

Well,it's for me and my mom to drive...
And she's quite keen on an alto !
So i was just wondering if the non-PS model(LX) will do ?

well, both have very light steering. why not TD them out at a true value :)

So which one is less of a strain?
I've lost touch with driving(will start again) and my mom's just learn't driving.

Moreover,it's only the LX & LXIs that are available in the market, not that i really need a big engine in a small car :(

to be honest, from my POV, neither is a strain. the difference is kinda hard to convey in words. The PS version will be lighter , but will also feel dead and lifeless. the non PS one will provide more feedback, but require a bit more effort.

think of it as with and without force feedback :P

Hmmm..guess,the non-PS version will be livelier eh?
Thnx !!!

^ lol even my mom has same car alto LX old model 2004 with ps

does not matter where she bought 2004 so this car is very smooth and smallest car but all the seat space and view is too small :|

cause i am big and very taller than my mom but i hate small car with crapy i cannot sit near due to my leg are big :P that why i cannot sit comfortable at this car

so this car is recommend for small passenger u can driver safety :ohyeah:

Yeah,That won't be a problem...
Neither are we over 6ft nor are we BiG :P

BTW,LX is the one without PS !

@greenhorn
IF the PS one offers a dead feel(and being so light) while steering, won't the non-PS provide a lot more feel,so called improved drivability ?

Anyways,it all depends on which one is available... ;)

not sure, but it costs 32k, and i'm not sure if its worth it.

its an Electronic power steering unit, so installation isnt hard

like i said , try out both n decide :)

I dont think you really need power steering for a car as light as an Alto. It will help while parking and turning after coming to a halt but otherwise I dont think its needed. Give the non power steering version a try first before you decide toxic
