Best way to visit Taj for the first time

although have lived in delhi ncr all my life i have never seen the taj mahal . girl im hooking up with is from outside and she wanna see too and cover agra in a day. whats a cheap and best way to go to agra. using trains i see takes least time but costs around 1100-1300 per person fr the round trip. using Bus on google i see rates from 299 onwards but not sure of buses and time taken by them etc. also dunno where they pick from and how will i find the bus etc as i have never done so.
 
I wanted to suggest a cab but I saw your "cheap" comment and so cheap costs for cheap services. And oh 50 bucks says your girl's gonna dump you one day for being so "cheap"

woah nice comeback.
Dude trust me, take a private cab. Private cars/cabs take around 3-4hrs to reach Agra.
 
IIRC, cheaper AC buses run from Sarai Kale Khan ISBT. Don't have much idea about timings though as it has been a very long time since I travelled on that route. I had only gone to Mathura though.
Private cabs or Exclusive tour buses that use the expressway will be a lot quicker though.
