I need to book two tickets on an international flight for the month of November. Please let me know which website to go for. I suppose we have many websites like makemytrip, ezeego1 etc but which one should i prefer ?
Do any of them provide any discounts or offers or anything like that ?
Just for clarification, i need not book any sort of hotels at any place since i suppose many of these websites provide discounts when ticket and hotel both are booked.

Please suggest..thanks :)

had booked tickets to singapore via makemytrip, got 10% cashback on basic fare. they keep giving offers, you can check and book the same. If you have a Credit Card there are more chance that the CC company gives you some offers.

BTW the tickets work out cheaper if the travel is from india to some other place for one way or you book two way tickets at one go, if you are planning to book from some other place to india better to check the local carriers as they would be cheaper most of the time.

I want to book two return tickets from Mumbai to Shanghai for the month of november. I am starting a hunt for tickets now itself as it would cost me less booking as early as possible. Do we have anything written on makemytrip which says that i will get cash back or anything like that ?

Also i have heard that these websites (not specifically MakyMyTrip) sometimes cut exorbitant fees when ticket is cancelled or anything like that.

Makemytrip cancellation policy is very clear. They will deduct the cancellation charges ( same as airlines and not more ) and Rs.250 as their charges.

You can also cancel directly with airlines and makemytrip will refund the balance to your account / credit card after deducting the charges.

I dont know about other sites. Have been using makemytrip for years now and I stick with them unless I get cheaper rates directly from airlines ( it does happen, always check airlines site, sometimes they have cheaper tickets or some special offers like free holiday stay etc etc. )

Your credit card company might offer some instant cashback discounts. HDFC does ( you have to enter the coupon/voucher code given to you by hdfc while using their CC ).

I have got confused at one point. I searched for a flight of air india on their own website for 13 nov and it says there are none but on makemytrip and ezeego1 both show that flight being there :S

try ixigo... They search for the lowest fares on the "airlines sites" itself. So you pay minimum on the ticket and cancellation charges too stay bare minimum. But they dont provide a listing on the offers across sites like cleartrip, makemytrip, ezeego1, yatra, travelocity etc.

yup. happens. nothing exclusive to air undia. many low cost flights dont show up on airlines site. they are almost always booked from agents and sites like mmt.

i will say check the airline sites also , i booked in june for london-bangalore trip with jet airways got it cheaper than these makemytrip and yatra agencies, call their customercare and ask for the prices generally all these airlines have tie up with diff credit cards, so enquire and ask for best price . from my experience thats your best bet...

..viky..
