BEST WIFI ROUTER within 1.5K

PLEASE SUGGEST a WIFI ROUTER within 1.5K

my OPTIONS are
1. ASUS RT-G32 - 1.1k
2. NETGEAR WGR-614 - 1.4k
3. BELkIN F5D7234sa4-H - 1.25k
 
If you can get the Belkin N150 for 1.5K(or less), then go for it. Just know that just because the router is a N-series, dpnt assume that you will get a better speed. Your wifi card on your laptop also needs to be a N-series one to get the benefit.

However if you aren't getting that deal, then go for the Netgear 614. I have used 3 different versions for years(almost 6 yrs now) and never had problem with any of those.

If you can spend a little more then get the Belkin N Wifi router Model No: F5D8236sa4.

I got this from Prime for Rs.2.8k 6-7 months ago

and it also has lifetime warranty.

Is it for 1.1K only as mentioned by the OP?

My friend's linksys one is on it's last legs, having served very well all these years.

This may make a nice buy till he can save a little more for a proper 'N' setup.

Has anyone here tried it out with DD-WRT?

As Sandy sir has rightly pointed out, i have also heard that the 'N' is maybe only in the name, doesn't reflect in actual performance. :P
 
Yup the ASUSRTG32 can be flashed to DDWRT. Im not sure about the price. If it is 1.1k then its good enough :P

I need suggestions about a Wi-Fi Router

My Wi-Fi Card: DW1501 Wireless - N WLAN Half-Mini Card

I will be going for NEW Reliance Wireline Broadband Connection (PostPaid Combo) in 1 week (as AirTel is a Pain in my a** )

I will be going either for Combo 600 Plan or Combo 600 + Night Booster Topup (1 Mbps) and I want a Wi-Fi Router compatible to this plan

Kindly suggest me a Branded and Great Wi-Fi Router. My budget is less than 1.5K

P.S: I will be using only 1 Laptop with this Wi-Fi Router. Don't have any other device/phone which is Wi-Fi Enabled as of now, but if I get one in near future I will love to use that too with this router

Apparently there are 2 hardware revisions - A and B1 , of which the former alone supports DD-WRT as of now.
Any idea if the ones shipping here are the 'A' rev?
 
After lot of research, I am settling for MTNL provided wifi modem. (Rs. 1100 one time charge and Rs. 75 per month). Maybe later on when have more spare money, will go for 300N. I hope MTNL has good wifi modems.
