Hey guys, What is the best Zero-Forex Credit or Debit card these days? I am looking to rent some dedicated servers from EU & US, Initial payment is expected to be around $500-600/Month which might increase later.

Please suggest the best card I can use for such payments.

Regards

I use Federal Scapia cardfor zero forex charges transactions and have found it to be quite useful, highlight feature being you get unlimited domestic airport lounge access if you spend INR 10000 in a statement cycle.

If lounge is a factor then Yes Marquee offers 6 accesses per quarter along with 2 guests in domestic & unlimited accesses along with guest access (2 per quarter) in international

OneCard keeps offering Forex-free transaction randomly for each member but again its not forever but on offer-offer basis.
I heard RBL has a great forex free card.

RBL World Safari is top tier shit quite unreliable.

My friend stopped using that and took my Yes Marquee along with him to Singapore.

I'm using Niyo global (SBM one) and it's not bad.

0% markup.
It works even when I insert a random US address to save myself from paying 18% GST. Yeah!
Occasionally, I don't even use my name for privacy reasons or use client's name and the Niyo still accepts the payment.

Free airport lounge access is a useless utility in India. Most such lounges will have hour-long queues.

I have 4 low or zero forex margin cards and the Niyo accepts most of the international payments. FI and OneCard block most international payments.

Doesn't matter I always put my initials as cardholder name everywhere and it has no problems - whether it be any card network or issuing bank

I've other cards such as Diners Black Metal which give me access to premium/biz lounges and I cannot not sit in a lounge before flying, it's quite refreshing and the F&B are good add-ons

I use IDFC Bank wow card (baked by FD). Guess there is some forex benefit but I'm not sure.
0% forex, this is what I use since Scapia/AU Ixigo arent serviceable in my area

can you explain the gst part? how does it work? wont income tax dept eventually track you down?

The Income tax dept is different from the sales tax dept.

The Govt of India has mandated all the companies around the world to charge GST for Indian Govt from foreign land and submit it to the Indian Govt. Big foreign companies who have the bandwidth to handle this nautanki will charge you GST in case you enter 'India' in the address.

For example, I purchase services (say, AWS US server) on behalf of the company I work for, which has nothing to do with India, and handover those services to people who are not in India. Why the f should govt of India be asking for money? But it does. US Amazon will charge me GST if I happen to enter India in the billing address.
If you spend more than 7/10 L in forex transaction it gets reported in AIS
If you spend 10L on CC with any particular bank it gets reported to AIS
So even if you escape GST you cannot escape tax tho
The correct version: Every rupee/dollar you spend or earn is reported. And, it's been the case for at least 5 years.

The limits you have quoted are the TCS free thresholds. No matter where you personally stand on LRS scheme on any FY, it has no effect on reporting.

It's nice if you get the access to premium lounges. I have tried to use that lounge in Mumbai's international terminal multiple times. And, it always had stupid long queues.

I'll say that almost 50% of people entering the airports have cards that give them free lounge access. It has become a gimmick.

Actually it has slightly reduced over the last year

I used to use Fi Money card and Niyo Global. Currently using the Uni GoldX card.
Niyo global was good until RBI put huge restrictions on them. Across PAN, your maximum international spend should be < 5 Lakhs for it to work.
Fi Money was good until their customer support went down the drain. I was flagged for high volume transfers. I submitted ITR and Income statements. Took them close to a month to sort things out. Ended up closing the account before the ticket was resolved. Very bad customer service recently. And I was under their max tier of 1L min balance. No use.
Tried Scapia but Federal bank has a weird rule of only one co-branded card per customer. Since I was already using Fi, I couldn't get it.
Uni is good till now. No issues and it is a credit card. So, I don't have the issue of maintaining minimum balance. App UI is okayish and is a bit buggy. Haven't faced any issues till now. Have made large transactions and have only received calls from the bank for confirmation and no failures yet.

ROFL. People have given up on freebies. Nice. I was there a few months ago. I didn't even bother to visit the section which houses that lounge.
No, as you are not aware banks had been slowly removing & paywalling lounge accesses (minimum spends in previous quarter)
Ofcourse someone whose making stacks would invest your time in more productive things
