Guys beware of ordering anything from Greendust ( Buy Mobile Phones, LCD/LED TVs, Home Appliances - Online Shopping @ Lowest by GreenDust ) Getting refund or replacement is next to impossible. This is my worst experience in online shopping. And I've quite a veteran in online shopping. In addition to Indian sites I regularly order from various USA, UK, Chinese sites.

I ordered a Black and Decker coffee grinder from them. I paid on 4.11.12. The item was delivered after 4-5 days. The item turned out to be DOA. I created a RMA request immediately. Since then I'm constantly following up to get the item picked up for refund/replacement. They don't answer to phone neither reply to emails. Everytime I post this on their FB page somebody from CC calls me next day with a promise to arrange pickup next day. So, far I have received 5 such promises :bomb:.
 
Well, that's bad.

But I was wondering whether contacting Black and Decker directly would help.
 
Wasn't Greendust featured in Chip Magazine a few months back. IIRC they sell refurbished products.

No that wouldn't help. Since the product is DOA it's their responsibility to replace or refund. Moreover being a refurbished item it's covered by warranty from Greendust.

Yes they sell refurb or factory second items. The item I received was like new (never used) only the outer box was torn a bit and I was very happy with the condition of the product but my joy was short-lived. The unit never came to it's life when I plugged in and turned it on.
 
I once ordered a toolkit form them, it arrived late & the plastic box was shattered. It was a low price item so I did not take the hassle of Return/refund but decided never to buy from them again.
 
I need to check the article once they had mentioned something about repairs/replacement. Don't remember the exact stuff. Will go through it once I reach home.

Yes it was bad decision from my side. It was my first order too. Just thought of saving some money!!

We all do that! If its hurting you, do try for a full refund. If they don't respond, posting on their Twiiter/Facebook page should help. I've seen these buggers usually fall in line once things start coming in the open.

Already did that and posting on FB is the only way to make them responding. But even then it's only false promise ("I'll arrange pick-up tomorrow sir, don't worry! you will get replacement soon" and so on......)
 
If you knew it was refurbished, why did you even go for the deal. I would not, from any Indian portal. We are not there yet.
