I gave my faulty MSI GTX260 TWin Frozr card to the service center(Digicare/Digilink) in Nehru Place after confirming thru their okhla office(being the main center) for the no. of days it would take for RMA, which they said 4-5 days max.

After submitting and waiting for their mentioned time-frame,I inquired thru phone for its status which they said would take another 2-3 days(as the replacement was coming from their main office). After waiting for mentioned time frame, they told me wait for another 2-3 days, to which i thought was okay(since i would be getting a brand new card). Again after waiting for another 2-3 days, I called them to know the status of the card to which they said "Your card has arrived" and after their QA test(which sounded strange to me and on inquiring they said it was repaired at their main office and they will do the 3dmark06 burn test) you can take it. After reaching their office next day, they told me that the card was faulty and they again need to send the card and same would be possible in 2-3 days. I simply blasted and threaten them to get ready to face the consequences. On pushing them hard, they talked to their senior officials and after wasting my valuable 3 hours, told me come in evening(they said another repaired card was coming from their main office). I reached at their office and requested them to test the newly repaired card using 3dmark burn test, which they refused to do as it was already past 7) I nodded my head and left. As I had to leave and return back to Mumbai on next day, I couldn't managed to test the card. After coming back to Mumbai, I plugged card into my system and to my utter disbelief and disappointment, it proved to be a faulty card again.

I have never been thru this kind of service in my life and would like to appeal MSI to immediately take some strict action against them and sort out my problem asap. If anyone could provide me some higher official contacts, I would be highly obliged.

MSI seems to have a new policy of replacing the item with a new one if there is no resolution within three working days....i really pushed them hard on this and got my mobo replaced with a brand new one.

I also had problems with my msi 5850 twin frozr but i had bought from smc...so i called them and said card was crashing on me...and asked what should i do. They said to come tomorrow.

So i went next day to smc and he enquired what my problem was...i told him it was crashing after few mins into the game continuously. He examined it and gave me new card. So i asked him what will he do with my card...he said he'll send it to msi service center. He is official dealer for msi i think.

bottom line always buy from smc..:ohyeah:

This is a common case for many vendors in India, only few end users are satisfied with the vendor RMAs, (if GOD is with u !!), bt many higher end items (sold in less qtys), they dont have any buffer stocks for the same , and if requested for the same, it will take min 20 days to arrive in India via next import. Also thier repair & testing facilities are just a bench & a soldering iron. they dont have vendor specific software & hardware tools for the same, and just checks by inserting on the PC !!!.

This is the same for all major vendors in India, If you have any spiritual power then will get a good item, else its your FAITH !!!!

Indian vendors RMA policies need to be improved on a much higher scale, as in US or EU .India is a place were Vendors can play any gimmicks on end users (and even on dealers)!!!!!!.S.O.S

would be useful.

Digilink service centers also handle rma/repairs for gigabyte boards. The contact details for Digilink personnel can be applied to Gigabyte products such as GPU/Motherboards as well.

I went to the lamington road digicare i felt their service was very good, gave them a mobo went after 5 days got it back same problem AGAIN,gave it back they replaced the mobo they told me they are sending my mobo to goa so it might take time to get the replaced one after 2 weeks got a brand new one,but it turned out to be an smps prob at the last.

Update: Its been more than a month and no action(repair/replacement) has been taken yet by them. I simply regret my decision for choosing MSI card. :@

Update: Got a credit note worth of Rs. 9000(notified by Distributor) from MSI Internation and now need to buy new card. Guys, suggest me some card around 9k as I don't want to invest much on gfx card(say 1.5k max). They suggested my 5770 HAWK edition against credit note.

Spend a bit more and get a Zotac GTX 460 768MB. Costs about 11.5~12k.

Kudos to sunny27 - alright folks we have an in-house msi customer service rep. :P

^ Exactly, credit goes to sunny :).

Distributor doesn't have GTX 260 768MB edition and stocks mostly ATI/MSI products. Help gfx gurus. :P

I meant the GTX 460! Are you sure the distri doesn't have that? The GTX 460 is currently selling like hot cakes. I am sure they must be having the msi hawk and cyclone. Although a bit pricey, it should be worth the buy. You do get the complete 3 year warranty as well instead of the remaining warranty from the older defective card. Unless, the distri sticks some sticker which says otherwise!

Are you willing to spend a bit more or stick to the 9k credit note?
