Hello Friends,

If you are Plan to go Big Bazaar Sale in Mumbai I advised you first Check your Local Dealer for What ever product you Want to buy at Big Bazaar.

As I visit the Big Bazaar Today in Evening I found all products are selling there is no doubt is below MRP but the same product I found more cheap with Local Dealer.

For e.g. LG DVD Player - the same player I found with Dealer for Rs.3200/- and for same product Big Bazaar Quote Rs.3450/-:@

Next Comes to Phillips 5.1 Home Theater System My Local Dealer Quote Rs.4500/- while Big Bazaar offer me with Discount at Rs.5000/-

Next Comes to Jeans Paint with Local Dealer my friend buy it just for Rs.350/- while the same product cost Rs. 400/- with Big Bazaar.

I am not against Big Bazaar or any Mall in Mumbai but just want them to know that “You may fool all the people some of the time, you can even fool some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all the time.”

When the Indian Business house will faithfull to other Indians ?:(
 
Selling below MRP is considered as generous deed. Why the heck are u asking for more. If someone is being more generous, that doesnt makes the first dealer a crook. Manage a bussiness someday and you will get the answer yourself.
 
most of the times , they increase the MRP first and then say that they are giving a discount ( sale whatever ) over the increased price. In the end , it is more than what you might pay at some other place.
 
Think Big Bazaar uses the moto "issey achha or sasta kahin nahi" and they have challenged that if u can buy any product from another dealer at a cheaper rate than theirs (with bill) then they will pay you double the amount of the difference between the 2 prices :S So Stick, next time you buy something cheaper than their price take the bill n STICK it up theirs :rofl: :rofl:

I think you are never near to any Business cause you don't know How much discount Dealer get for Electronic products than FMCG.

Hindustan Lever offer 8% to 10% rarely on there products at that time it is bind for us not to ask for Discount. But LG DVD Player price is Rs.2800/- to 3000/- and the MRP on this Model is Rs.4500/-

In that case 10% of 3000/- is 3300/- so it is OK if Dealer sold out it for Rs3500/- but at that time they should not fool the people by saying that there is SALE.

There is some products Made in Delhi which cost Rs.200/- and have MRP Rs.500/- so did you mean it is generous to sale the product more than Double as the MRP ask for same.

No my friend.

By giving FALSE advertisement BIG MALLS attract more Counsemers and due to that Traditional small retailers who even sell products cheaper than mall can not attract more people and thus the Death Alarm is already ringing for Retailers in Big Matros and Cities.

To Managing Business Successfully it's not Necessary to RIP poor Customers, why misleading them By Showing SALE CARROT. :@
 
There is something called margins and taxes. Learn Economics and commerce first. The big malls have to maintain a healthy margin as thier rrunning cost is high compared to local dealer's running cost. Suppose, both the big mall and the local dealer have to sell 10 XYZ wih cost price ABC. Now the running cost (i.e. emplyment, electricity, marketting) of the big mall is way high than the local dealer. so the big mall profit margin will be ABC + BGP (Big Mall's Profit Margin) than the local dealer's ABC + LDP (Local Dealer's Profit Margin). Hence, eve though they are below MRP, stuff in big malls tend to cost more.

Other things to consider is that these Big Malls get some stuff even cheaper than your local dealer, if they order a huge quantity (and they do). This makes most of the stuff available in malls cheaper. But this is case with fast moving products such as household products such as washing powder, bathing soap, etc and not electronic items.

Why the Big Malls have to Pay more taxes and Bills compare to Small Retailers, cause Big Mall Operator Utilizes more space, electricity etc. But the question is Why they use All Things in Bulk cause to Generate Huge Profit they maintain variety of Products in large area.

Why the running cost high because they have variety of stalls, shops inside the mall so in last compare to 1 shop running cost is less than Mall because mall have 100's of Counters and Shops.

I don't think to know or manage business any one need to know detail about economics, Reliance Ind. founder Dhirubahi Ambani didn't have High Degree but he had Soft Heart towards Consumer and always think first about them that's why his last wish about Mobile Age was "mobile communication charges should be as cheap as postcard in India".

And see now Reliance provide same service at cheap rate compare to Other Operators. Does this means Realince didn't have Huge Taxes or Expenses.

My Friend it is fact that Business Operators didn't like Reasonable Profit in India but they want HUGE profit but at same time they forget Average Public of India is POOR.
 
unlike your local shop/dealer, in Big Bazaar you are getting AC Environment with HOT CHICKS with HOT DRESS moving around.

Yes, on this point you can Justify (and I too;) ) if Big Malls Charges High.

And this is What over all EXTRA expenses for Malls. Now I can understand why malls charges high, now I will pay more in MALL next time I will be there but after using there services "Nayan Sukh;) " with "Cool Environement":P
 
I was in Ahmedabad recently

They were selling Trancend T-Sonic 610 (512 mb) for 5500.00+Taxes

I was shocked

And at the same time they were selling Lays Chips for Rs. 5 whose MRP was 10.00, Does this mean make loss on the small pack and make HONEY on the higher priced item.

Some of our Board members didn't like what I am going to tell you here. This is truth I read some year back in News Papers and this is International Problem with Developing as well as Third World Nations.

This e.g. is related to Hepatitis Vaccines and all are here smart enough to know what I mean to say (though some where with some thing I may be wrong - remember there is always EXCEPTIONS:) )

IN last couple of years we hear and see adv. to take Hepatitis Vaccines to Prevent Hepatitis.

In Hospitals you will get same Vaccines (at that time) for Rs.200/- per Injection but with some Mandals and Organizations arrange Camps and offered to give same Injection for Rs.50/- only :S

After a 2 month in News Paper Column I read that those Vaccines offered at Mandals and Pvt/charitable's Org was Out Dated at that time some people says Doctors/ Medical Stores shouting as they incurred losses.

After some time again I read a News that some Gang Napped by Police who change the Warpers on Out Dated Drugs and Re-Distributed in Mkt. at Cheaper Rates. This Fraud come to focus because in One Reputed Hospitals after Injecting Medicine in Patient Doctor didn't get Expected Result and he ordered to check the Quality of same Injection.

My Friend Multinationals can do anything and can go any level to marketing there products.

But REMEMBER there is EXCEPTIONS so KEEP OPEN your EYES while PURCHASING any products, after all NO ONE ON EARTH DO BUSINESS FOR LOSSES. (It is fact that Dealer incurred more GAIN with SALE :ohyeah: )
 
Malls will always be more expensive for electronics... Its pretty insane to buy electronics at a mall. Your local dealer will be cheaper guaranteed. What price you get is finally what you bargain for. Its not just big bazaar, every single mall costs more for electronics than traditional shops. Its not a new phenomenon.
