Recently I came across the terms - Big Data and Hadoop. Though I have a good grasp of what they are all about, I am yet to find any big data developer to talk in length about the career growth in this field.
PS: This is for my future brother-in-law who recently passed out and has been bugging me. so please go easy on me
I can't throw much light but few of my friends and their connections are working on Big Data / Hadoop. The basic thing that I know is, Big Data is something related to DB but in big scale may be distributed computing. And Hadoop is the programming language which is used to develop addons / modules for Big Data.
As per them, it's rising. So career growth is good. Specially onsite opportunities
