Big DTH - Rumored Installation 1500, Monthly 120 - launching in 2 days

Spoke to a dealer in my town today and he has already got a huge stock of Set-top boxes for distribution. The initial cost will be Rs. 1500/- for the Set-top box and zero for installation.

Also according to him the monthly cost is only going to be Rs. 120/- with all the channels and even if you don't pay anything you'll get all free-to-air channels and any 1 premium channel of your choice. You'll just have to refill Rs. 40/- every month to keep it active. He himself wasn't completely sure about this though and said that they'll only get the confirmation tomorrow in some "really important conference".

Well unless they declare that to be the case at the start and mention this to be a short duration promotional offer, the customers won't take that lightly.

120 bucks is very tempting,
 
I dont think they can provide service for 120 bucks.

They MAY do it for the first six months and later keep increasing till it reaches 300 bucks similar to what Tata Sky has done.

We should not compare DTH services to Mobile services.

In DTH, the cost of getting the channels from broadcaster is VERY VERY high.

From what i know Tata Sky is giving Rs.150 Subsidy on each subscriber going for the all channel package.

Similarily even reliance will give subsidy till they get enough number of subscribers.
 
guys... from where to get it?
want to plug to my system hopefully without starting it.
we can pay 300 after 6 months or so.... only concern is DVD quality video.

then what SUN Dth is doing for south ? they gives connection for Rs2000 with 107 channels including bindass/movies and other utv channels and almost all southern regional channels for a year *FREE* ! .next year onwards 75 rupees per month.

If sun can do this ,big too can.but the think is ,unlike sun these dish/tata/big will change channels without confirmation.:@
 
It's working now, there was a temporary outage, sorry about that!

Edit: seems to be running a little slow due to high server load, should be at normal speed by end of day.
 
120 k monthly lol!!! where did you get that figure from?? Just checked their website......their basic (read crappy) package costs that much. If you go for a complete package it will cost you more than Rs.340( and even this is non-incl. of channels like neo sports)
