I so wanted to play this game, but unfortunately my video card plans were squashed in Dec 07, with customs stealing my HD 3850 :@

Anyways is Bioshock playable with a 7600GS, X2 4000+ and 2 GB RAM ?
 
Yeah its a very scalable game. You might not run it with full bells and whistles but it will be playable.
 
7600GS will play the game but not so well; I mean you'll have to reduce settings and play it. the 8600GT is recommended for decent frame rate (high settings)
 
Hmm thanks folks, I guess will give it a shot. I so wnat to buy the hd 4850, but guess that will be an overkill for my system :)
 
I played it on medium @ 1024x768 on my 7800GT so I'm sure you should be able to as well!

Just tone down the AA and other eye candy.
 
^^you could have played it at max too :P

its unreal engine 3.... runs on my 8600gt at 1024 X 768 at highest settings (dont remember about aa settings though)
 
whats the size of your monitor? me played on a 17incher ar 1024*768.. all setts at med to high... smoooooth

tried playin bioshock with 7100gs ( read:without a graphics card)......framerates were too slow...but considering i was able to play a bit means ur card wld be more than sufficient for 17"
 
Customs is a long story had a thread on general section some time back. But now my 7600GS plan is cancelled will be getting a 8600GT so I guess should not be an issue
