I recently changed my mobo from Intel 965RYC to Biostar GF7050 M7 SE with my same old P4 HT 3.0GHz 800Mhz FSB and the standard intel heatsink fan combo.
My previous configs on Intel 915 and 965 showed CPU temps as 45 - 60 range. I was surprised to see temps of 11deg cel on the POST on my biostar. I double checked by installing Everest and it showed around 25-29 at idle in winxp.
Out of curiosity I tried fiddling with the BIOS fan settings and changed the CPU fan mode to quiet ( run at slower speed ) so the POST message now shows 23deg cel and Everest shows around 30deg cel.
I use a zebronics bijli cab.
Are these signs of a faulty temp sensor .. since I have seen reviews of bad build quality by biostar for this mobo. ????:huh:
