BitComet does not know maths

Look at the screenshot.
BitComet says I have downloaded 7.51 of 362.19 MB (no rubbish data in that) - and then calculates that to be 1.1% ???? According to me it is 2.1%

Nope, not necessary, i think the data is being cached before being written to the disk, so maybe only after it writes to disk would that data be counted.

Or the data would be verified only after a particular chunk has been downloaded and then written on disk to be counted to the percentage d/l.

or it refreshes the percentage column only after certain time interval :)

disclaimer : I did not write bitcomet, just my 2 cents ;) and i was always weak in maths

I wouldn't stop using it. I get amazing speeds on it, it is no longer banned, and it finds more peers than any other client I have used, apart from the fact that it is the only one able to circumnavigate Sify's NAT.

huh, i have used plenty of clients on sify.

To use any client all you need to do is change default port from 6881 to something else, thats it.

I am using azureus as well as µTorrent. Both work well under sify's NAT.

I use azureus for torrents with dead tracker, used to be bitcomet user but stopped using after the problems with leeching and specially with amount of data it used to drop.

I tried many clients like BitTornado, Azureus etc but none of them worked even after chaging port settings (even though I managed to get emule working on those ports). Then I heard of bitcomet and voila, things worked.

I dont know how many of you have noticed this. but utorrent screws up other parts of your system.

I was teaching my cousin to use BT and I downloaded utorrent. The mike stopped working and I tried everything to make it work. Nothing worked. then I uninstalled utorrent and voila mike started working again!!!!

Since then, I have stopped using utorrent. I am even uninstalling it from my comp. God knows what other parts it screws up...
