Black Background on Desktop Icons

Hi Guys,

My desktop icons have black background which looks really bad... :(

I have tried

- Removed webpage from my desktop
- Selected 'Use drop shadows for icon label on the desktop' option available in Performance options

But facing same issue.

If you guys have some other solution..please do reply
 
Assuming you are having Windows Xp .. .NOw XP doesn't have better rendering support for png files for desktop wallpaper.. Try changing the wallpaper and do reply back.. Put a wallpaper with bmp or jpg/jpeg extension..

Use .jpeg format and it won't show that odd looking background covering/highlighting the icon text !

Using .png images as wallpaper's causes this bug.
