Pod starts resyncing every foogin time I connect it to the PC. Every alternate time actually.

Takes 2 hrs then. Let's just say it kinda pisses me off ... What to do ?

try disconnecing an ipod without usb->remove device

it will blow up everything about 1 in 5 times

happened to me twice already

I think that will remove the entire connection . so an iPod won't get charged that way ..

EDIT: just read this again , I mean when you use usb->remove device .

and also I want to bring this to light . when a USB device(maybe a flash pen drive?) is connected , go to device manager->usb device and under 'policies' , you can switch between safe removal and performance mode . I think this will make a difference ..

I guess you got unlucky..you would have removed it during a data transfer

yup....you can enable disk mode from itunes>options>enable disk mode

and do make sure that you don't disconnect the drive when data is being transferred....

Everytime the songs/playlist on your ipod are updated, itunes needs to update the metadata for the song listing on the pod...If you disrupt the transfer while this is happening, you'll be left with a corrupted metadata listing leaving you with no choice but to do a clean restore

Any of you guys used ? iTunes 7.0.2 ? It's soo weird. None of these options are there in the options menu... All in the main window when you select yoru pod ...
