Guys,

I have recently read in one of the Tech Enclave blogs that Windows Mango mobile devices are unable to transfer files via Bluetooth. Is it true?

Has Microsoft released any update to resolve the Bluetooth transfer problem?

Ya bluetooth file transfer in windows phone is not available. Also there is no file browser.

Next update named Tango is bringing file manager. Apollo another update has expectations of bringing bluetooth file transfer to Windows Phone

sadly it is true..

You can not share files using bluetooth in Mango..don't know about the future update.

Read somewhere that some apps are there to transfer pics using bluetooth but not sure you may search for it.

Then whats the sue of buying such phones which doesnt even possess the basic necessity?

Complete crap. Prefer simple china phone which seems worth over this.

#ariendj and #nritech Bluetooth File Transfer by DFT brings in File transfer over BT but it is available for 1st Gen Phone and your device needs to be Fully Unlocked.

Although I never use BT except for Audio Transmission but its a Handy feature to have

Yes, the feature was hacked out of the initial Windows phone OS plan.

Most current Windows phones [Lumia series and Samsung Omnia W] do not have a Bluetooth module either in their package. So even after the update, these mobiles will be left high and dry. Don't know about future phones OR versions of the OS.

I think bluetooth module is their in LUMIA but it is limited only to connect with headsets....also their is an app to tranfer pics only via bluetooth not sure though

i got samsung focus for trying wp7.5 , in custom rom there is file manager , but since it syncs music etc by zune , cant find music files , there is a bt file transfer app also , it works but takes ages to receive a small file . transfer rate is around 100kBps max ..
bored with windows phone , i find even symbian belle better than this .

... and that is the reason Nokia is coming back to Meego and Symbian, I read it on Android Authority, don't know how true it is, they can't go to Android for some time because due to MS has them Contract bind.
