The new BMW computer mouse, which is aimed at serious gamers, is hitting the market now at major U.S. retailers.
The Level 10 M Mouse, a collaboration between BMW Group DesignworksUSA and Thermaltake, a maker of electronic gaming accessories, is priced at $99.
The BMW computer mouse can be adjusted for height and lit up in different colors, said BMW in a statement on Thursday. The mouse is outfitted with a number of keys, which a gamer can set to meet specific demands.
"This piece of technology, resembling a tiny racecar, has about as much to do with those grey plastic shells scooting over mouse pads like a family van does with a high-performance supercar," said BMW in a statement.
The automaker said the special mouse is "outfitted for the rigors of professional computer sports." It comes in Diamond Black, Iron White, Military Green or Blazing Red. Thermaltake said the "mouse is an extension of the player's soul."
"Just like a basketball shoe, a golf club or a cockpit, a professional's mouse needs to be customized to meet the competition needs of tech's best athletes," it said.
