Probably they foresee some groups getting offended.

Do Indians need a reason to get offended? This is a country of people with absolutely no sense of humor and self entitlement and egos so bloated that they can get pissed off for bloody whatever reason that they can think off. People got so offended by the mere fact that somebody else was served a paratha before they were served at a dabha that they killed the other person in retaliation and this despite the fact that the dabha was only serving in a FCFS basis.

Our countrymen just need an excuse to get offended to justify killing one another.

Even adult films cannot use profanity: CBFC

Mr. Nihalani said that he made the cuss-list guideline public to save producers precious time before release. They could just avoid bad language. “Clean pictures will run better,” he is heard explaining during the meeting. “Films with bad language don’t do well. Your expenditure to redub will be 5000 rupees… Immediately, I will give you the certificate.”

Mr. Nihalani is then heard offering dubbing solutions to the young filmmakers. “You can dub g**** with Mirchi and Mother***** can be dubbed as maikalaal.”

Until the status is legal they consider anything promoting it to be lets say not legal.
Ya, the usual mind-set. Nothing surprising here.

Indians get offended for reasons they should not, and not for what they should...! It is weird.

Hardly surprising, given that it is here in our country that the word "sex" is censored even in subtitles. What next..?

The guy who banned the film is gay & the film ignited "unnatural passion" in him. I do not see how it will ignite "unnatural passion" among straight men.
