Alternately, you could get yourself fired  Seriously, does RIL have a well defined exit policy?

Most bonds always have a clause for termination due to mis-conduct.
Usually when the company fires an employee due to bad performance or as part of a layoff, the bond becomes void and the employee does not have to pay any bond amount. However, if an employee is terminated due to Mis-conduct, he will be still asked to pay the bond money. Also cases like these are immediately registered with the police.
This is because if a case is registered though another source, the management will also be investigated and there's the chance of a scandal that ill favors the company.
I can only infer that either the company does not have a good reputation as it is or for some reason decided to hush up the incident secretly rather clean its hands of it.
Getting yourself fired deliberately through your own action is equivalent to saying goodbye to your career. I don't know whether you people are saying this for jest, but there may be people who take it as an advice seriously. This is the worst possible advice for anyone.
Most companies these days check the background of employees. Some companies like Wipro even hire third party consultants for this purpose. Any sort of mis-conduct or stating facts wrong means you can kiss the job good bye. The worst part is that this does not happen before joining the company, but 3~4 months after joining. (I have heard that Wipro even registered fraud cases against some candidates.).
Secondly most companies that fire an employee because of bad performance do not usually state it as a reason in the paper work. They make it look like you resigned on your own so that your career prospects are not affected. However, If the company gets wind that that you were deliberately trying to get fired, they may decide to state the true reason of termination after which chances are you wont get a job anywhere else.
Thirdly getting fired through mis-conduct is the worst possible way. Most reputed companies do not take lightly to this. The will try their best to clean their hands by making sure that you alone get the blame and probably go to jail for it (if required). So leave alone your career, chances are you entire life will be ruined if you try things like that.
