Let me update on what is going on:

1. This is a major hardware upgrade for us. Along with a server migration. While we thought we had covered all our bases, unfortunately we ran into some compatibility issues with the hardware that caused unexpected crashes. We have been working hard to fix them.

2. There are still some issues with the memory allocation and usage which we are working day and night to address.

3. And finally, today's downtime was due to a software fault (basically an Apache web server upgrade without a critical module being enabled)

I know its frustrating, but we are trying hard to bring things back to normal. The whole idea was to increase responsiveness of TE as a site and make it faster. We will continue to work on that front.
 
still issue with opening page, yesterday WHOLE day getting error - I think the BOOST you used was MADE IN CHINA :(
 
I am not able to open any of the PMs since morning. I can see the PM list, but nothing comes up when I click on them. I believe some other folk are also facing the same issue. Any known reason?
 
Like I said, the PM list loads fine, but whenever I click on a link to any message, I am redirected to the page URL, but the page is blank. Screenshot below:

Weird no issues with PM here, that blank screen only was appearing with the 40 post per page setting
 
^That happens with me as well. Ironically, thats not always the case. Sometimes the PM load up just fine, while sometimes I just get a blank screen.

Once I get a blank screen on a PM, the problem stays on for a couple of hours and then gets fixed automatically.

Well that explains a lot! I couldn't get into this thread to report this issue until it spanned into the third page! Anyway, it occurs even at 35 posts per page. 30 and below is fine.
 
and I was wondering if the cable guys in my area had fixed their crappy server..... so this is the reason why the pages area loading faster....... great..... although I would like to see my stupid ISP fix their speed problem.....
 
Even I had it 40 posts/page and was getting error. Just leave it to forum default as of now. All should be fine.

We have notified the team about this.
 
I had the forum default all this while, and still couldn't see my PM details until a short while back. I guess the issue is intermittent, but definitely not machine / browser related as I tried different browsers on different machines
