MPC has a volume normaliser and booster. Doesn't sound good, but can be used in emergencies.

while watching vidoes and movies..ive noticed that i cant keep the volume abov3 40-50 % level..and some times not more than 10-120 %

its too loud !

ffdshow audio filter -> volume-> check the normalize box

Try AC3 Filter. it has a Boost volume option or if u install the taskbar mode, u'll get a Loud option. Click on that & the volume is boosted.

KMplayer can boost volume considerably...When DVD volume is poor I use kmplayer.

i use creatives Mediasource 5 player and enable SVM = Smart Volume Management which boosts volume in realtime.. so give a try if u got a Creative soundcard..
