Booting games from the PS3 HDD is not far off at all

Well, that didn't take long. A well know Xbox mod team has tackled the PS3 and come away with an interesting first product:

"Team Xecuter has rolled out the details on their first commercial product for PS3 - the 'Hyperdrive'. This device will allow you to connect any 3.5" SATA hard drive to the PS3, supporting upto 750GB and switching between the external HYPERDRIVE and internal 2.5" HDD. There will also be USB 2.0 support to dump DATA to and from the HDD. They also state that a few friends in the Playstation scene have relayed that booting games from the PS3 HDD is not far off at all!"

I'm sure the subtle hint of what lies ahead didn't escape you... does the potential of terabytes and terabytes of freely ripped and available PS3 games concern you at all?

Thats gr8 news.

Just curious will PS3 have Kbd and Mouse support for games.

I have seen some articles through google but none have been able to successfully use one on there PS3.

Sony had promised its support in games.
 
It can't be used in games because the developers didn't want it to. Ps3 will work a keyboard in its OS or Linux, or anyother software running on it which recognises a keyboard.
