Hi,
I have this bootable CD for XP SP3. I have installed XP many times using this CD.

1. Now there seems to be some problem with XP. After the XP loading screen, the system restarts..what may be the error....

2. And then when I thought of reinstalling XP using the bootable CD, it says DISK BOOT FAILURE: ENTER SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER (I have even set CD boot priority in the bios)....plz help me

mobo is gigabyte g31-s2l, 4gb kingston ram, lg dvd writer...

if you are getting a disk boot failure i think something has happened to your mbr pop in the xp cd in and go to recovery console and type chkdsk to check any errors on the disk and then type fixmbr see if hte prob;lem gets solved disconnect reconnect the hard drives check the ram take it out of the slot and put it in :D

I was also phasing the same problem
but I change my Rig :P now i dont have any problem.
I think is mobo problem one suggestion just Update your BIOS :)

why you people jumping on poor motherboard ? Try another bootable CD for XP installation. In case of no success give try with another DVD writer/ROM.
