Borderlands The Pre Sequel -PHYSX

I am getting huge fps drops while playing borderlands the pre sequel during fights with physx set to ULTRA. I have searched the internet as much as possible but unable to find a fix . Please help.
 
As far as I know Borderlands 2 had broken physx. Maybe same for this game also. Even some people with SLI were having problems. Btw if the impact is severe then use the medium option (if there is any).
 
BL2 physics are a lot less crippling than BLPS. This game brings down my FPS to below 30s. It's mostly the cryo effects.
