Finally guys , i bought !

given to my sister .........

now i will another in some time ...........

how much difference is there in 720p and full hd 32 " Tv

i mean between C530 or EX400(32") vs BX 300 when we play HD content
 
give more details i mean not getting full screen display when connected to what at what resolution etc...
 
AT 1080p resolution

problem was solved using ati controls but the the text is not clear in hdmi in vga they are better ...........

why is that
 
Install Catalyst Control center

Click Graphics from top left corner

select Desktop & Displays

Select the Display monitor on bottom left corner & left click to configure

check GPU scaling to full panel size
 
hi congrats for u r purchase. i am also considering to buy lcd tv , i want to go for 42 inch lcd . how is your 32c530 and how much did you pay. i have shortlisted samsung 40c550.

Ua mate ...its a brilliant display ............

the colors and contrast are top notch love it ..................

32" is really very big when u big it home ................

THERE IS 1 minute prob that text is very clear when u use HDMI but gets ok when VGA ..........

GAMES and MOVIES are perfect ...............................
 
I hope you have calibrated the sharpness. Possibly you havent done that which's why you complain of the text not being readable. PM thexfactor and get the settings off him - he has the very same TV!
 
^ Can you suggest some good online guide to calibrating the picture on an LCD for TV content? There are quite a few available, but I am not sure which ones are 'good' :) I feel the picture is good already, but somehow miss the 'sharpness' (n00b alert :P )
 
I have a Series 5 plasma(C series) and it plays all bluray 1080p rips with DTS audio.Didn't try DTS HDMA audio though.The Samsung techie said all C series starting from Series 4 will feature the same playback capability.

So, i assume u should be good to go. :)
 
^I am not sure what is wrong since I don't have a unit with me yet but most of the C530 users were able to play .mkv files OOTB. Perhaps you should wait for them to respond.
 
^I have c550 and it even plays a 1080p mkv format video without a hitch.Also it cant be old firmware cause these are recent models .The video might not be properly encoded.Try other mkv files

Try a different MKV File, so far I've been able to play most MKV files I've tried :)

For some reason (maybe a bug with the ATI drivers) I'm unable to get the display to stretch to the edges even after selecting GPU scaling, had to overscan it a few notches using the Catalyst control center to utilize the entire screen :P

VGA would always be better, however if you wanna use HDMI then here are the settings the I'm using currently with my TV for text related work :

Mode : Std
Backlight - 1
Contrast - 92
Brightness - 45
Sharpness - 10/15
Colour - 40

Advanced -- >
Black Tone - Dark
Dynamic Contrast - Med
Shadow Detail - 0
Gamma - 0
RGB only mode - Off
Colour Spaces - Auto
White balance - Default
Flesh Tone - +5 (for some reason I prefer this)
Edge Enhancement - Off

Picture Options -->
Colour tone - Normal
Digital Noise Filter - Off
MPEG Noise Filter - Off

Please note that I've set it up according to the conditions in my room and my preferences, you could change it around a bit until it matches your taste :)

You could use the gaming mode for gaming, and try one of the built in modes for movies.

PS . The above settings are applicable if you've got the S-Panel (check on the right side of the display if it says SQ).

^ could you check the firmware version ?? ... It'll be shown under Current Version in Software Upgrade Menu, mine is 2010/05/14_0001008

are you able to playback any other kind of media (avi, jpg, mp3) ??
