Back in the days of EA Sports Cricket 2000, me and my friends used to take up challenges in the game like scoring 1500 runs under 50 Overs in a single innings. :P, i.e an average run rate of minimum 30 per over.

So when I got my hands on Brian Lara Cricket 2007, I thought I would have a similar challenge. Well the challenge is to score 3000 runs in the game under 100 overs in a single innings. So anyone patient enough or bored enough to care for this challenge. :bleh:

I started a test match with the default options of the game and choose the teams to be India vs Kenya. Here are the results. :P (This is after several tries in the game.)

Lol..... Dravid missed 1k :P Awesome batting there ..... where are the boundary and sixers stats ? And change those names for God sake :P

Clearly you are not able to play some of the OVER-PITCHED deliveries or the one with a vaired pace .:bleh: :bleh: :bleh: . as alll the batsmen got out LBW or BOWLED... o maybe you just too tired:S :S

NICE STATS THOUGH:hap2:

I havent seem this happen in the previous BLC releases. :(

Maybe the the game producers didn't pay to the cricket committees to use the actual names this time around. :D

Divide the individual scores by 6 to get the count of sixes. There are rarely any singles, doubles, triples or fours since sixes are needed to maintain a run rate of 30 per over.

About changing those names, its too much trouble and besides what if they start playing like the real Indian cricket team.

Your deduction about the over-pitched balls is correct. :ohyeah: I swing the bat for every ball to hit a six, so if it misses, I either get bowled or LBW.

Awesome! However shows how poorly designed the game is :P.

Yes, the AI is pretty weak in the all the cricket games I had tried in past. In this current game, the AI has been set to balanced mode. so its supposed to adjust difficulty according to the person playing the game. But these games just cheat at high difficulty levels and do not have real AI. Worse than that, I can easily defend a score of 50 againist the computer AI's batting. My best bowling stats in the game is againist Pakistan where I finished them out for 4 runs in 2.3 overs. :P Just bowl over pitched balls on to the stumps.

Though cheating is one of the tactics used for higher difficulty levels in other games too, its used too much in the cricket games.

Even Age of Empires II cheats at the hardest difficulty level. Hardest level is same as Hard AI with added cheating. Just record a game played against the computer can you can see how the computer AI gets excess resources periodically to make it advance faster.

Yeah BUT they atleast got the rights for the ICC Cricket WC 2007 And Champions Trophy 2006...

EA didnt even do this!!!

And the faces in these tourney's are more real like BHAJJI has a turban..

@Nemesis : You're the "Dude"..not for hitting the 3K mark but for passing this endurance test..

I've played EA Cricket 2007 and I couldn't play a match of more than 10 overs..Its so repetitive and boring!

lol, I was already bored to death. My graphics cards overheating due to the summer heat and soaring to 95+ temperatures while running graphics intensive games. So until I get my lazy ass to do something about it, I am pretty much limiting myself to Age of Empires 2, Brian Lara Cricket and CnC 3 at low resolutions or watching Sponge Bob Squarepants episodes I am downloading.

There are so many Patches available , Just Install one :P

The Name problem was also present in BLC 2005 , the reason being codemasters have Licenses only for ICC cricket worldcup and Knockout series. Therefore while playing any of those 2 series you will see Real Names with Player likeness. I Know it sucks but its nothing what a patch cant Fix. :)
