My phone was running on stock 2.2 Froyo ROM. I first flashed it with CM7 Alpha 8 which is under development. It has some issues so flashed it with Kyrillos ROM based on 2.3. Was still not satisfied so tried going back to stock. downloaded the firmware from Samfirmware.com and started flashing with ODIN 1.81. After the downloading part, the phone switched off and never started. I think i might have flashed the bootloader which i shouldnt have and so my phone is not starting. On pressing power, Powe +home+down or Up button, nothing happens. No lights, no display, no sound.
What all things i have tried:
1. Tried charging the battery for 8 hours and then pressing power button. No go.
2. Power + home + volume down. No go
3. Power + Home + volume up. No go
4. connected the phone to usb without battery. while holding power + home + volume down key, reinsterted the battery. phone does not get detected on computer/odin.

I am pretty sure its a hard brick. If i give it to samsung, they will charge a bomb for motherboard replacement. I need to find a shop in mumbai with JTAG (its a device which can put the bootloader directly on to the processor). After some research i found this address:
Wonder Gallery
Manish Market, 1st Floor,
Shop Number No.27, Palton Road,
Mumbai 40001

Does anyone live or work nearby and can give me this guy's number? i want to confirm before i make a trip (i stay 100 Kms from mumbai). Anybody is vashi does a similar job?

Is your phone under warranty, if it is then just tell Samsung that you had put it for charging overnight and then it does not start, if it is under warranty they will fix it or replace the motherboard for free

Are you sure Manish Market still exists?

I don't think so because it was burn't down in a major fire last year (DNA News)

Since that incident I've not been there... I've heard that all the dealers for there have shifted based to City Centre Mall in Byculla.

i owned a galaxy 3 before and jig was never mentioned in XDA so i am not sure if that would help but i recommend you to start a thread in XDA, maybe there you might get some help

Manish market still exists! Been there recently. Be advised that its infamous for selling duplicate products, atleast most of the shops are.

I think it should be worthwile the trip as it seems there is nothing available online to try out. Goto Manish market and also to Heerapanna (@Haji Ali) if there is something in the world to unbrick your phone, it should be available in one of those places.
