I have a 5 year old 15" LCD monitor. Yesterday when i switched on the system the LCD monitor showed up bright colors . A similar problem had occurred a few months back for which i removed the monitor from the power supply and reconnected it back and it was back to normal. I tried doing the same thing yesterday but it didnt work. I reset the settings of my LCD monitor but no use. Also there is no de-gauzing option in my LCD .
Then i opened the Nvidia Control panel for viewing the display settings , every thing was at default settings as usual. Then i decreased the brightness to 30% to see colors getting better and closer to normal. Now its running at a brightness of 30% but the color reproduction is not as good as normal (as it was previously)
I am using a Nvidia 6600 gt pci-e gfx card.
What could be the reason behind this ?
