Solution?

U r not using a splitter .. rite..?

Use the splitter , with the telefone main line goin in at the solitary end and carefully connect the modem out line to ur modem and then the fone line to the fone.

Secondly, if the problem stil persists, that is if somebody picks up a parallel line and then too ur net gets disconnected, then get a second splitter (any brand will do) and use that with that parallel fone line, again the same assembly.

U shd be okay..

(there is no edit button cuz u r a fresher here.. :) spend some time and ur status will be updated to a non-noobie. Its just a precautionary measure so as to prevent any spammer toying in here.)

hi spacescreamer, thankx.
I'm already using splitter as shown in the sketch. You can see from the main and its connected to splitter in first room. one more splitter connected in second room.

i'm confused where to add splitter now?

Try to get the splitter added at the main i.e before it hits your house in room one so that the ADSL and Phone lines are separated at the source.

^^ I think he is using the splitters at the mains already..

See, the splitting shd be done on the line once before being fed to the fone..

if i get it correctly, the two blank rectangular boxes are the splitters..

Just use the splitter just wen the line hits the comp .. so remove the splitter from the mains as it is already proven that this way of splitting is not helpful.

looks like you are not using the ADSL splitter which separates the voice and data circuits.

i presume you are using just a parallel splitter and which is bound to disconnect the braodband whenever there is incoming or outgoing call.

what you need is

thankx ank1t, Spacescreamer.

i think i'm using just an ordinary splitter. I'm going to get an adsl splitter & will checkout medpal sketch..

@medpal, thanks a lot.

My ton of thanks to medpal for giving clear solution with sketch.

I purchased new adsl splitter and did as medpal solution. It worked. No more net disconnection disturbance.

 :hap2:
