You can't have it serviced in India cos MSI never sold that card here. Grab a soldering iron and put the pin back :\

Thanks to all of you but I want to give it a try but i want to know one thing that is there danger of getting any part damage due to heat.

Could any body tell me that is there is a problem with my AGP port. As I had recently removed and installed all component of my computer since my computer is not booting up. but after cleaning the things i work properly but my graphic card is getting very much heat up even at low speed. Can this problem be fixed my again installing the heat sink of my graphic card.

Did you take apart the Heat sink fan assemply of the card... If yes did you reaaply some thermal paste between the GPU and the HSF... Also check weather the HSF is properly seated or not... Otherwise there shouldnt be an issue of GPU over heating... Also what PSU are you using as 9800 pro is Power hungry... Give us your complete sys specs...

heat, actually nope...i've soldered on mobos..nothing unfortunate has happened yet :ohyeah:

Dont listen to him... He is Lame ;)... Okey Jokes apart... Actullay if you are serious abt doing it yourself talk to him via msn... He is the best person AFAIK to give you some excellent tips... Sunny give him your msn id naaa....

^^ hmmm...may not be low ERS ones..but replacing with same ratin ones...6.3V 1000u

Having problem with ur existing ones (capacitors)??

are they bulging or leaking ??

The cheapest and the most effective way to improve the +5V supply for the cpu on that board is to directly solder one or two wire of +5V wire from the psu directly to the base of the coil near the v/r's.

if you trace out the connection then the +5V connector of the ATX connector (20 pin) travels all the way from the bottom of the m/b to this coil which is situated towards the rear of the m/b.

This will eliminate one contact point (Contacts points have a small resistance) as well as the some resistance of the long trace. in short the voltage drop on the +5V line will be minimum.

power supply is not an issue as my graphics card was working fine before yesterday.

also i didnt remove the heatsink beore plugging back the gpu in the agp card so can the thermal paste have melted by itself?
