After the release of opera 11.10 final, i did a minor browser benchmark. here is the result.
I am on edge network, does it affect the benchmark score?

Looks like there are a lot of factors in play for that score ....

Looks like FF is too far lagging behind..!! Yay...Chrome Rocks :ohyeah:
no mate check RD274 post, i think network connection plays a major role :)

@RD274, great opera topped. i like that :)

^ i think its due to that Opera Turbo Mode for slow connections

if you check closely RD274 haven't activated opera turbo, thats was the default opera score

Well, will go home and check on every major browser :D

Though doesn't matter..!! As browser war will never end. :P
Thats right browser war won't ends, but being a fan of opera, it feels nice to see that it have topped :D

Getting results as follows:

I had all 4 browsers installed in my system, so I don't think system configuration or internet speeds play a role here. And more importantly, Opera in my PC is always turbo disabled. I'm on BSNL 3G.

lol...everyone's getting diff. types of results. But only Opera hold the position for all the results.

I did a test here in the office, Chrome(v10.0.648.204) Scored: 3881 Points.

After all these results, why there is a difference in score that too a huge one:S. Does benchmarking browser depends on machine specs?

i also performed the bechmarks on these browsers and opera emerged as the winner, followed by chrome, internet explorer 9 and the last but not the least firefox.

I think that the new features such as using some gpu resources for graphic rendering in the browsers gives new browser releases such as of opera an edge but i dont know why internet explorer 9 performed so poorly and also firefox.I am behind a 1 Mbps BSNL connection.

And to think these browsers can be a lot better. Opera only used a single core (Core #3) for the entire benchmark, if it had multi-core support I'm guessing the scores could be a lot more higher ......

if thats so, then score will rise again? What about FF, does it support multi core?

yeah, the next version of chrome will have features which will use gpu for rendering graphics and that sort of stuff and some more minor tweaks which will probably make it the fastest browser(again).
