hey ppl,
my friend of mine (say X to avoid confusions :P ) had made a community of another friend (say Y) in orkut..but Y's brother somehow deleted the community and also all the scraps( arnd 2000 ) of X (the owner of the community)..On enquiry it was found that he used brute force hacking..now we want to remake the community :hap2: but dont want it to be deleted again with our scraps..
is there anything we can do from our side to prevent him from doing that?

i know this is an odd thread..:P kindly bear with me :bleh:

i'd love to know the guy who did the brute force thing, although i would say it is highly unlikely for him to do that for such a purpose.besides, brute force is not going to "probably" work as the servers restrict the number of attempts for a successful login.

bruteforce hacking that too on a google site........not possible...either your password is too weak to b compromised..or else check your system for keyloggers or trojan horse......

yeah.. its hard enough to spam a thread in orkut... find it hard to believe that "brute force" hacking could actually be employed .. maybe the guy was just using the word without knowing its true meaning ;)

i dunno..it wasn't my id that he hacked..and the fact that he did manage to delete all scraps and communities of my friend led me to believe him..but now that you have assured that aint possible,i will go on and make the community :P

i suggest you read da vinc cde/digital fortress, and you'll find some good password generating ideas. needless to say tht I love dan brown .
